About Lauren and Oberon Carter
Lauren and Oberon have been living a zero-waste lifestyle since 2015 and now share their knowledge with others on how to live completely waste-free and recycling-free. They are sought after for their expertise on waste reduction and are the founders of Zero Waste Tasmania.
Oberon is an ecologist who works to protect Tasmania's threatened species and places. He has been a regular speaker on a range of waste issues on ABC radio and has presented on reducing waste with various community and student groups. Oberon is a qualified permaculture design teacher who is passionate about living with a small ecological footprint. He aims to fully integrate his ecological knowledge with his daily life, with waste management being central.
